We finally went to Bandung last week… it was a smooth one… nobody bothered asking how many months along I was while at the airport
We reached Bandung at about 10.00 am on 240607 and checked into the hotel at 11.00 am. After a 30 minutes rest for the ladies and two kids while the hubbies go arrange for our transportation for the visit plus their golf games, we went straight for lunch… Nasi Padang. When we arrived, they served like 30 plates of dishes and we were wondering how the hell we were going to eat all that. The concept is “Touch it, it’s sold”. Anyway, I guess we were THAT hungry that we finished up 80% of what they served.
Anyway, energy was restored and we attacked our first outlet at Heritage. I didn’t want to go that bonkers on the first day, but anyway, I ended up with clothes for Aiman and baby, several Victoria Secrets and hubby bought a pair of shoes. Then we strolled to the nearby handbag outlet where I got myself a new Esprit handbag that costs me only RM60!!! Then I strolled a bit further to another outlet and Aiman got himself more t-shirts from Next. In all, we spent 4 hours in this area and I only spent about RM200!!!
We went back to the hotel, took a nap and it was time for dinner at a really nice Sundanese restaurant where we ate in a nice hut. It was a peaceful dinner for us as Aiman slept peacefully all the way.
Next day, 250607, the gents had afternoon golf session so we went to Pasar Baru in the morning… like 8.30am, even before most of the shops opened. While hubby was with me, we managed to buy four pair of telekungs for grandma, MIL, aunt and myself, and a pair of baju batik for hubby. By 11.00am, the gents left and the ladies continued with our shopping spree where I grabbed two more telekungs that costs merely RM20 each with a bag, mind you… three pairs of cloths for baju kurung (all mine!!!!), two pairs of embridered blouses and daily outfits for Aiman and his cousins.
By 1.00pm, our driver came to fetch us and we went to the denim outlets where I only bought a pair of suit for Aiman and then just rested in the MPV waiting for the others (not because I didn’t want to shop some more… but I was tired!!!). We reached the hotel at 5.00pm while our driver went to fetch the golfers. Rested a while… did some unpacking and packing and then it was dinner time with the gents at another Sundanese restaurant. This one not as good as the first one we went to.
The next day, the gents went for morning golfing so the ladies left for our last day of shopping at 9.00 am to THE PLACE TO GO… i.e. Rumah Mode. We spent only two hours here… but the load… oh the loadddddd!!! All I can say is that I’ve never seen so much nice kids clothes at such prices ever… Aiman and his baby sibling got like so many new clothes from Next, Osh Kosh and Gap!!! Mommy didn’t get anything for herself here… but spent almost RM400 for the kids alone!
After Rumah Mode, we went to the supermarket where I got myself my usual stock of TEH BOTOL to bring home… just one dozen!
Then it was lunch with the golfers again at the Nasi Padang restaurant. And after lunch we went back to Heritage for some last minute shopping. Hubby grabbed a few shirts from Esprit here. Then, we dropped by Kartika Sari for the kek lapis and cheese puffs. Excellent. Gulped down a bottle of TEH BOTOL while waiting for two men to buy extra luggage for their wives… hahahaha.
That night, we packed… and wallaaaa… our bag was filled to the brim with new stuffs and all the dirty clothes went into the golf bag. At least we didn’t need a new luggage!!! And the men also went for another last minute shopping (reached the outlet 10 minutes before closing time)… and hubby grabbed 3 shirts from Next and a Burberry jacket within that 10 minutes (not bad, eh!!)
The next day… the eight of us paid RM500 for excess luggage…
In all it was a great trip… our driver was excellent… food was good… and shopping was HEAVEN!!!
