We checked into Pantai Medical Centre after dinner (u name it… I got it… crabs – loads of ‘em!, lala plus more seafood!!!). Aiman insisted on accompanying me to the hospital, so we took him along. My aunt came some 15 minutes later while we were still at the check-in counter.

Once we got into the room, the nurses came for the routine preparation and Aiman had to go out along with his Daddy and my aunt. Once all completed, Aiman came back with the bonus question “Where’s the baby???” I told him that Dr. Idris haven’t cut me yet… that’s tomorrow morning. Aiman went home at about 10.30pm and hubby came back around 11.30pm.

The nurse woke me up at 5.45am for more routine procedure… and I had about an hour to bathe and get myself ready. By 6.45am, myself and hubby was out of my room and straight to the operating theatre’s waiting hall. Hubby got himself ready, while I waited for that funny Dr. Jamsari to give me oh that so interesting Epidural. My second time going through Epidural, so… I knew what to expect. And off I went to the Operating Theatre. I was soooooo dammmnnnn sleepy coz I really couldn’t sleep the night before. Anyway, there I waited for MY Dr. Idris and became relaxed when I see him coming and straightaway asking me how I was etc.

Procedure started at exactly 8.04am, and hubby came in to accompany me. Dr. Jamsari did me a favour by shifting the lights a bit so that I could not see the reflection… but I still could see actually. I could feel Dr. Idris tugging my tummy and by 8.20am he announced, “Okay, baby’s coming out”. Hubby stood up to see this and at 8.21am, I could hear the baby cry and Dr Idris say…”It’s a boy. Anak lelaki” and so…. The scan was right afterall!!!

The stitching up took quite sometime… an hour or so. I was out for observation by 9.20am and by 9.40am I was already in my room. Very damn sleepy. They didn’t bring the baby to me rightaway like they did when Aiman was born. So, I was beginning to wonder… “Is the baby normal or what!!!”. He only came in at 2.30pm for his first feed, and like Aiman, he was a pro at breastfeeding, except… this one lovesssss to bite ouch!!!

Aiman took a week to accept that the baby is a boy… he is coping like how other siblings cope with new member of the family. Ultra jealous… and keeps on testing our patience. Hopefully, this won’t last forever!!!

After two days, we decided to name this child of ours Muhammad Arif. And last Friday came the third name… Johan. Arif means “Clever, Smart” while Johan is Malay word for Champion. So, it’s MUHAMMAD ARIF JOHAN.
